Sooooop

NEWS FLASH: Now updating twice a week, Sunday and Wednesday nights!

Everyone makes stupid puns about soup being ‘soup-er’. For your sanity and mine, I will not do the same. Grab a can of non-concentrated soup (the kind you do NOT add water to) and the rest of the ingredients. I’m using Chicken with Brown Rice Soup, Spinach, Corn, and Chicken, but you’re free to do as you please. Remember, this is not gourmet cooking. Do whatever you want.

Best Big Beautiful Basic Breakfast

NEWS FLASH: Now updating twice a week, Sunday and Wednesday nights!

Ok, Lets look at this breakfast. Today’s meal is going to be two parts, the first is simply cereal and the other is scrambled eggs. I’m doing the 2 parts because I’ve never made scrambled eggs in the microwave and I’m worried its going to turn out weird and I won’t want to eat it. So grab the supplies for breakfast and lets get our food on.

Fajitas! or Maybe Burritos?

Ok, today’s meal is the most grown-up meal that I’ve made so far. Honestly, it was a lot of work and made a bigger mess than was expected. Although the fajitas/burritos (whichever I made. I’m not sure of the difference) were absolutely wonderful, I don’t like cleaning more than a bowl or two at a time. Don’t worry, though. I will probably make these again. So without further ado, get your supplies ready and lets make some fajitas/burritos!

Turkey Pasta and Junk

This is probably the most complicated meal that I’ve made in a very long time, but it is also decidedly the most delicious. At 6 ingredients, it has double the ingredients of anything I’ve posted a recipe for so far.

The first thing to do is to assemble all of the ingredients for the pasta. I’ve assembled them here for your viewing pleasure. Oh, and those Peas are the left-overs from the ham/rice mix I made the other day. Don’t worry, the deodarant in the picture is not an ingredient.

Breaking The Fast

Today’s recipe is for breakfast, easily the most important meal of the day. Its also exceedingly simple, taking less than a minute to make.

RICE! with… Canned Stuff

The meal I made tonight for dinner is a little bit more complicated than the last one. Its got double the ingredients, but its also quite a bit better for you. Seriously, Ramen is terrible. Everytime I eat it I can’t help but die a little on the inside. The worst is when you’re cleaning the bowl you ate it in later. There is a thin paste or film or something of disgustingness all over the bowl. And if its on the bowl, its definately on your intestines. effing gross.

Today’s meal is more healthy. Also, you’re making two servings: one for now, and one for later. Or if you’re hungry you can just eat all of it right away. Thats up to you.

Of Course the First Recipe is Ramen!

It’s probably for the best that the first recipe that I put up here involves Ramen as the main ingredient. I can’t think of anything that screams “DORM ROOM FOOD” louder than Ramen. Its, what, 10 cents a packet? 20? I bought 2 packets of 5 different flavors and it cost less than a can of the energy drink I like. Too bad its terrible for you. Oh, and there are 2 servings in a single package! who eats half of a Ramen packet? nobody, thats who. sigh.

A Little Tour of My Life…

Like you, I currently live in a crappy little room. There are 3 of us in this room and there is almost no space for any of us. Thank god we have a full bathroom that we don’t have to share with any other rooms! Here is a little tour of my living space so you can get an idea of what resources I’m using.

as you can see we have been jammed into a room that is perfectly sized for a single person. We do keep our room clean, though, so its not as bad as it seems.

this is the sink, where I do most of the prep work. I hesitate to say ‘cooking’ because there is little of that involved. More like, ‘mix ingredients than microwave’. Yeah, thats it!

‘What is this?’ you ask? Why, thats MY wall locker! Thats where I keep all of my food, clothes, electronics, and bathroom supplies. It also acts as my desk. You’ll notice that I have a teeny-tiny fridge. What you probably can’t notice (because its not open) is that it is full of beer. Priorities, right?

My desk/cupboard/dresser/storage unit in all its glory. All of my food is kept on the bottom shelf. I really don’t have that much space for food!

my microwave oven! I actually have to turn off the TV whenever I’m heating something up or it’ll blow a fuse. My roommate was pissed the first time it happened because he lost most of his progress in his video game. So now we have a rule that the game is paused and the TV turned off whenever we cook something.
